RAILONE supplied the REM (Réseau Express Métropolitain) Montreal project in Canada with around 21,5000 sleepers of the RHEDA CITY D system as well as Jordan sleepers in the period from 2019-2024. As the system was designed with integrated derailment protection, both sleeper types were used. The design of the sleeper system was developed in accordance with European standards and AREMA's technical requirements. A comprehensive approval process was carried out for both the bi-block sleepers and the fastening system supplied. This makes the Montreal project referent the first RHEDA-City referent on the North American and Canadian market.
