Wide sleeper – maximum service life thanks to reduced vibration

The high weight and large contact area of a sleeper increases track stability and reduces maintenance requirements. The RAILONE wide sleeper takes this concept to the extreme. A sleeper with a width of under 60 cm and a weight of almost 600 kg was developed. This means that the traffic loads are distributed in the best possible way in the ballast bed without any interruption in the sleeper compartment. The experience gained from over 25 years of operation is clearly noticeable and shows extended tamping cycles, even on tracks with very unfavorable subgrade conditions.
