The guard and guide rail system of RAILONE is a tailor-made solution for heavy haul transit (32.5 t). Currently, these systems are applied on the sleeper types AR 06 and AR 17 which are installed in the Arabian Peninsula. The guard rail system hinders the rail from climbing up, acting as a safety measure to prevent from the derailment of the rail in the tight curves. Whereas the Guide rail system guides the train to stick on the track preventing it from jumping off the rail after derailment and clashing with other engineering systems around the track and therefore minimizes the risk of causing major destructions. The sleepers are equipped with four or eight additional dowels to retrofit the guard/ guide rail system in track. The difference of the guard (80 mm) and guide rail system (180mm) is the flange width as it is the horizontal clearance between the guard and guide rail and the next running rail. The system consists of cast-iron trestles GRT 1 / GRT 2 to fix 33C1 rails by means of special hammerhead screws, helical springs and a nut. Guide rail sections are equipped with catching devices at its ends.
