Follo Line, Norway: RHEDA 2000® in Scandinavia's longest tunnel

Construction of the new 20 km long double-track slab track in TBM tunnel to improve traffic performance from Oslo to Ski, at maximum train speeds of 250 km/h. It is currently Norway's largest transport project forming the core part of intercity development southwards from Oslo. This is the first slab track (and likewise RHEDA 2000® project) construction project to be initiated in Norway. The Follo Line tunnel is the longest tunnel in Scandinavia and Norway's first long twin tube rail tunnel. Combined with the existing Østfold Line, four tracks to the capital Oslo will represent more trains and faster trains on schedule. It includes extensive works at Oslo Central Station and the construction of a new station at Ski and the necessary realignment of tracks for the existing Østfold Line on the approach to Oslo Central Station and between the tunnel and the new Ski Station.
